Inventory Ledger Summary Data

Daily FBA stock balances and movements per SKU, by country or by fulfillment center, from Amazon's Inventory Ledger summary report.

The Inventory Ledger tracks where your FBA units physically are and how they moved: receipts, customer shipments, returns, transfers between warehouses, units found, lost, damaged or disposed. Unlike FBA Inventory Summaries, which reports the stock each marketplace can sell, the ledger reports the stock stored in each location, so it is the right source when the question is "where is my stock?" or "why did it change?".

DataHawk exposes the ledger summary at two levels of location, from two versions of the same Amazon report (GET_LEDGER_SUMMARY_VIEW_DATA):

TableLocation levelUse for
SELLER_INVENTORY_LEDGER_SUMMARYCountryStock and net movements per country
SELLER_INVENTORY_LEDGER_SUMMARY_BY_FCFulfillment centerStock and net movements per fulfillment center
💡

The two tables have the same columns, except COUNTRY becomes FULFILLMENT_CENTER. Amazon builds the country and fulfillment center reports separately, so don't add up fulfillment center rows to get country totals: the sums are usually close but can differ. For country totals, use SELLER_INVENTORY_LEDGER_SUMMARY. For the individual transactions behind a movement, use SELLER_INVENTORY_LEDGER_DETAIL.

TableOne row per
SELLER_INVENTORY_LEDGER_SUMMARYAccount × date × FNSKU × MSKU × disposition × country
SELLER_INVENTORY_LEDGER_SUMMARY_BY_FCAccount × date × FNSKU × MSKU × disposition × fulfillment center

disposition splits each SKU's stock by condition: SELLABLE, CUSTOMER_DAMAGED, WAREHOUSE_DAMAGED, CARRIER_DAMAGED, DISTRIBUTOR_DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE and EXPIRED. Sum over dispositions for all units in a location, or filter on SELLABLE for sellable units only.

How the balance works

For each row, the ending balance is the starting balance plus the day's movements:

ending_warehouse_balance = starting_warehouse_balance
                         + receipts + customer_shipments + customer_returns + vendor_returns
                         + warehouse_transfer_in_out + found + lost + damaged + disposed
                         + other_events + unknown_events

Movements that remove units from the location (shipments, transfers out, lost, disposed) are negative. in_transit_between_warehouses is reported for information and is not part of this calculation.

⚠️

The ledger counts units physically stored in a location. It doesn't include inbound shipments that haven't been received yet, and it doesn't pool stock across marketplaces. That's why its totals are lower than total_quantity in FBA Inventory Summaries, and why one country's ledger balance can differ from the available quantity shown for the same country's marketplace.
