FBA Inventory Summaries Data

Daily FBA stock snapshot per SKU and marketplace, with available, inbound, reserved, researching and unfulfillable units broken down by status.

FBA Inventory Summaries is DataHawk's recommended source for following your FBA stock. It comes from Amazon's FBA Inventory API (getInventorySummaries), the same source behind the stock figures in Seller Central, and it splits every unit Amazon holds for you into a status: available to sell, on its way in, reserved, being researched, or unfulfillable. A full snapshot is collected every day for each connected seller account and marketplace.

The data is available in two tables:

Several inventory tables share the SELLER_INVENTORY_FBA_ prefix. This page covers stock status. For inventory age, storage fees, sales velocity and Amazon's recommendations, see FBA Inventory Planning. For stock by country or fulfillment center, see Inventory Ledger Summary.

Main use cases

  • Current available stock per SKU and marketplace
  • Daily stock level tracking
  • Breakdown of non-sellable units: reserved, researching, damaged or expired
  • Inbound shipment monitoring

  • SKUs with zero stock are kept. Amazon returns every FBA SKU on the account, including SKUs with no units, so most rows in a snapshot have total_quantity = 0. Filter on total_quantity > 0 to keep only SKUs that hold stock.
  • A SKU absent from a snapshot was not returned by Amazon for that day.

How to read the quantities

Total quantity is the sum of four statuses:

total_quantity = available + inbound_quantity + reserved_quantity + unfulfillable_quantity

Researching units are reported separately and are not included in total_quantity.

Each status has its own breakdown:

StatusTotal columnBreakdown columns (add up to the total)
Availableavailable
Inboundinbound_quantityinbound_working + inbound_shipped + inbound_receiving
Reservedreserved_quantityreserved_customer_order + reserved_fc_transfer + reserved_fc_processing
Unfulfillableunfulfillable_quantitycustomer_damaged_quantity + warehouse_damaged_quantity + distributor_damaged_quantity + carrier_damaged_quantity + defective_quantity + expired_quantity
Researchingresearching_quantityresearching_short_term + researching_mid_term + researching_long_term (empty when no units are being researched). Amazon names these buckets short, mid and long term without defining day ranges
⚠️

Don't sum stock across marketplaces. available is the stock Amazon can sell on that marketplace, not the stock physically stored in that country. When inventory is shared between marketplaces, Amazon returns the same units for each marketplace that can sell them:

  • Europe: with Pan-European FBA or the European Fulfillment Network, the EU marketplaces show the same pooled stock. The UK is a separate pool, and Amazon.ie can show stock from both the UK and the EU.
  • North America: with Remote Fulfillment, Canada and Mexico can show stock that is stored in the US.

Adding marketplaces together counts the same units several times, and picking one marketplace per region doesn't reliably give the pooled total either. To see where your stock is physically stored, use the Inventory Ledger Summary by country or by fulfillment center.

Data delivery

FrequencyOne snapshot per day, per account and marketplace
DeliverySame day (D+0). Snapshots are taken in the morning (UTC) and are usually available in your database in the afternoon (UTC)
HistorySnapshot only, moving forward: starts with the first daily snapshot after you connect your account (October 1, 2026 for accounts connected before this dataset's release). Amazon only reports current stock, so earlier days can't be loaded. For stock before that date, use the Inventory Ledger Summary, which is loaded with up to 18 months of history
Historical updatesNone. Each daily snapshot is final once delivered and is never refreshed
