FBA Inventory Planning Data

Reference for SELLER_INVENTORY_FBA_PLANNING, DataHawk's daily FBA inventory health snapshot covering stock, aging, velocity, and Amazon's recommendations.

SELLING_PARTNER.SELLER_INVENTORY_FBA_PLANNING is sourced from Amazon's FBA Manage Inventory Health Report (GET_FBA_INVENTORY_PLANNING_DATA). It's a daily country-level snapshot of every FBA SKU, combining stock levels, inventory aging, sales velocity, inbound pipeline, storage costs, and Amazon's own action recommendations in one place. It mirrors what you see on the Manage FBA Inventory page in Seller Central, so you can spot aging and excess stock before fees hit and validate Amazon's restock or removal suggestions.

report_date is the date the report was requested. snapshot_date reflects the actual date of the inventory data in the report.

What's in it

  • Stock levels — Available units, unfulfillable stock, pending removals, and inbound units broken down by stage (working, shipped, received).
  • Reserved inventory — Reserved quantity splits into four components: FC Transfer, FC Processing, Customer Order, and Staging. We surface two totals: RESERVED_QUANTITY (Amazon's own reserved figure) and RESERVED_QUANTITY_INCLUDING_TRANSFER (our sum of all four components). These totals aren't always equal — see Limitations below.
  • Inventory aging — Units bucketed by how long they've been in Amazon's fulfillment centers, from 0-30 days up to 365+ days.
💡

For US, DE, UK, FR, IT, and ES, the 365+ band splits into two finer buckets: inv_age_366_to_455_days and inv_age_456_plus_days. These pair with projected aged-inventory surcharge fees per band (estimated_ais_* fields), so you can see exactly what you'll be charged if aged stock isn't cleared.

  • Sales velocity — Units shipped and revenue over the last 7, 30, 60, and 90 days, plus a flag for SKUs with no sales in the past 6 months.
  • Supply & demand — Days of supply, weeks of cover (T30 and T90), sell-through rate, and estimated excess quantity. A large gap between T30 and T90 weeks of cover signals a velocity change.
  • Pricing — The price of the product's featured offer.
  • Storage costs — Estimated storage fee for next month and per-unit volume data.
  • Amazon recommendations — Suggested actions (reprice, remove, restock), recommended prices and quantities, projected savings, and an overall inventory health status flag per SKU.

Questions this dataset answers

  • What's my current sellable stock by SKU and country?
  • Why is my available quantity lower than expected?
  • Which SKUs have inventory older than 180 days, and what will it cost me?
  • What's my total projected aged-inventory surcharge for next month?
  • Which SKUs have had no sales in 6 months?
  • Do I have excess inventory relative to current demand?
  • Which SKUs does Amazon recommend removing or repricing, and what are the projected savings?
  • Are my reserved units stuck in FC staging, or just allocated to open orders?
  • How much aged inventory (365+ days) do I have, accounting for the marketplace split in the 366-455 and 456+ buckets?
  • Do my two reserved-quantity totals agree, or is there a gap worth investigating?

Limitations

  • NL, PL, SE, and BE aren't supported. These marketplaces aren't covered by this report.
  • No warehouse-level detail. Data sits at the country level. For warehouse-level movements, use SELLER_INVENTORY_LEDGER_DETAIL.
  • RESERVED_QUANTITY and RESERVED_QUANTITY_INCLUDING_TRANSFER can differ. For some marketplaces, Amazon's reported reserved figure doesn't fully reflect FC Transfer units. We recompute a second total from the four reserved components to capture these units.
  • The 365+ day aging bucket splits for six marketplaces. For US, DE, UK, FR, IT, and ES, inv_age_365_plus_days, quantity_to_be_charged_ais_365_plus_days, and estimated_ais_365_plus_days aren't populated. Use the split fields instead: inv_age_366_to_455_days / inv_age_456_plus_days, quantity_to_be_charged_ais_366_455_days / quantity_to_be_charged_ais_456_plus_days, and estimated_ais_366_455_days / estimated_ais_456_plus_days. For all other marketplaces, the single 365+ fields remain the source of truth.
  • Amazon's recommendations are signals, not directives. Always cross-check WEEKS_OF_COVER_T30 and ESTIMATED_EXCESS_QUANTITY before acting on a removal or restock suggestion.
