I cannot see data in manufacturing views, but I see it in sourcing
Why some Vendor products appear in Sourcing but not Manufacturing view, and what to do about it.
Use this guide when Vendor Central data appears in Sourcing views but not Manufacturing views. The issue is usually tied to Amazon's account relationship, brand ownership, or manufacturing permissions for the ASIN.
What I can observe
- Sales data is visible on my dashboard
- Glance Views are missing on my dashboard
- ASIN appears only in some reports
Why is this happening?
Amazon Vendor Central can expose data through two different reporting views:
| View | What it represents | What DataHawk can usually show |
|---|---|---|
| Sourcing | Products Amazon purchases directly from your vendor account | Your contribution to sales and inventory |
| Manufacturing | Products that belong to your brand as the producer or brand owner | Broader product performance, often including sales, inventory, traffic, orders, and forecasting |
If a product appears only in Sourcing, it usually means:
- Amazon does not recognize your account as the manufacturer for this ASIN, or
- The ASIN is not linked to your brand/manufacturing scope in Vendor Central
This can cause DataHawk dashboards to show sales or inventory while traffic, forecasting, or some order-related metrics stay empty. That does not necessarily mean DataHawk failed to collect the data; it often means Amazon did not expose that metric for your account relationship.
What you can check
If you expect the ASIN to be in Manufacturing:
- Verify that the ASIN is correctly linked to your brand/manufacturer account
- Confirm your manufacturing permissions for that ASIN in Vendor Central
