Category tracking: no more duplicates
Category tracking now relies on each category's unique ID, so the same category reached through different paths is tracked only once.
On Amazon, one category can sit under several parent paths. For example, category X can be reached through A > B > X and A > C > X.
What changes
Category tracking now relies on each category's unique ID, not the path you took to reach it.
- No duplicates: track X from two different paths and you get one tracked category, not two.
- Faster: category data processes more quickly.
What to expect
- No action required on your side.
- If you tracked the same category through several paths, it now appears once in your tracked categories.
See Categories tracking for how tracking works.
