New Amazon Competitive Pricing dataset

Amazon's competitive price and was-price benchmarks now available for any product, daily for tracked items.

A new dataset surfaces Amazon's competitive pricing benchmarks.

  • Data Sharing Path: PRODUCT.AMZN_PRODUCT_COMPETITIVE_PRICES
  • Granularity: Daily / ASIN
  • Source: SP-API, Product Pricing v2022-05-01, getCompetitiveSummary. Collected for any product, not just owned.

Key fields:

  • Competitive Price: Amazon's benchmark price for competitive positioning. Reflects what Amazon considers the current legitimate going rate for the product in new condition across eligible sellers.
  • Was Price: The pre-promotion baseline Amazon uses for strikethrough pricing (e.g. "Was $18.49"). Reflects the price that appeared on the detail page before a discount was applied, derived from the product's own pricing history.

Collection:

  • Snapshot report (no backfilling)
  • Quarterly updates for almost all product sources (any product connected to DataHawk will be quarterly enriched)
  • Daily updates for tracked products and seller listings (when enabled on the workspace)

Additional fields like referencePrices, featuredBuyingOptions, lowestPricedOffers, and similarItems are collected and may be exposed in the future.
