Claude is the most full-featured MCP client — native support on Desktop, Web, and Mobile. This guide walks through setup and first-use.

Prerequisites

• An active DataHawk workspace with MCP enabled — see Setup your DataHawk workspace for MCP
• Claude Desktop installed (macOS or Windows), or access to claude.ai on web

Setup — Claude Desktop

If you have a company team plan, your Claude admin will have to add the connector

1. Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Connectors

2. Click Add custom connector

3. Paste your DataHawk MCP endpoint:

   <https://mcp.datahawk.co/mcp>
   

4. Name it DataHawk and click Connect

5. You'll be redirected to DataHawk to authorize the connection — sign in with your DataHawk account

6. Approve the permissions screen

You should now see DataHawk in your list of connected tools with a green status.

Setup — Claude on web

1. Go to claude.ai → Settings → Connectors
2. Click Add custom connector and paste the same endpoint
3. Authorize via OAuth

Same experience as Desktop.
