DataHawk provides daily estimated sales volume and revenue for products listed on Amazon — including products you don't own — enabling you to benchmark performance and identify market opportunities.
Product research — Identify high-demand, low-competition products before entering a category.
Competitor benchmarking — See how your sales estimates compare to competitors in the same category, without relying on their private data.
Inventory planning — Use sales trend data to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
DataHawk's algorithm converts a product's Best Sellers Rank (BSR) evolution into a daily sales estimate. It uses Amazon's category hierarchy to calibrate the conversion, ensuring estimates are relevant to the specific niche — a rank of 500 in Kitchen means something very different from a rank of 500 in Books.
Estimates are calculated at the parent ASIN level and update daily as rankings change. DataHawk also applies an extrapolation logic to fill gaps when BSR data is temporarily unavailable, keeping your datasets consistent.

Estimates improve over time as DataHawk collects more data for a category. Connecting your Seller account also helps improve the accuracy of estimates for your own products.

For a market or category: Track an Amazon category in DataHawk. You will have access to up to 2 years of historical BSR data depending on the category, and estimates will update automatically as rankings change.
For specific products: Track individual products or create product segments (e.g. your catalogue vs. a set of competitors). Estimates start from the day tracking begins. Use tags to organise and compare groups. See Using Tags for instructions.
Estimate accuracy varies by marketplace based on the volume of data available:
| Rating | Marketplaces |
|---|---|
| High | US, SA, IE, AE, BR, GB, FR, DE, IN, IT, EG, MX, TR, ES, CA, JP |
| Moderate | AU, SE, BE, NL, PL, SG |
